Anita Matthews - Irish Wheelchair Association (Home Support Service)

Equality for all members of society is something that is strived for here in Ireland and in many countries. Our next guest is someone from the Irish Wheelchair Association – a charity which was set up over 50 years ago and envisions the achievement of social, economic and educational inclusion and integration of people with disabilities as equal, independent and participative members of their communities and society.

Much progress has been made over those 50 years but the vision remains the same, and the IWA has recently launched a new service called IWA At Home to better support people with limited mobility, physical and sensory disabilities and the elderly.

Wendy spoke to Anita Matthews, Communications Coordinator with the Irish Wheelchair Association to talk about the charity and their new service.
