Etan Blass - Understanding Jewish Feasts

Christianity, Judaism and Islam are often referred to collectively as the Abrahamic religions as they trace their common origin to Abraham, the first of 3 biblical patriarchs whose story is told in the book of Genesis.

Judeo-Christian is also a term used to describe Europe’s cultural heritage. However, whilst many in Europe might have a good understanding of Christian traditions and live out those traditions, they might not be aware of the way in which the observances and the identity of the Jewish peoples has shaped Christian practices.

Ahead of his talk at St Saviour’s Priory in Dublin focusing on the subject entitled, “Remembering Our Story: Jewish Feasts.†Wendy spoke to Etan Blass; a Jewish researcher, originally from Baltimore in the US and now living in Limerick.
