World Leprosy Day - Ken Gibson

Sunday 25th January marks World Leprosy Day. Despite being declared officially eliminated as a public health problem in 2000 by the World Health Organisation, around 250,000 people are diagnosed with leprosy each year.

Chief Executive of the Leprosy Mission of Ireland Ken Gibson spoke to Wendy about the recent history of the disease, and how we all can contribute in some small way to creating awareness of leprosy and seeking justice for those affected by the condition.
