Alison Skilbeck- ‘Mrs Roosevelt Flies to London’

In October 1942, Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of the US President Franklin D Roosevelt, took a dangerous trip to wartime London to visit American troops, and to see how the British people, and most particularly the women, were coping.

This is just one fascinating chapter from the long life of one of the most extraordinary women of the 20th century.

A new one-person show explores the public and hidden life of this intriguing lady. Alison Skilbeck authour and performer of ‘Mrs Roosevelt Flies to London’ spoke to Rojo in studio.
