Michael Gannon- Vatican Radio

There was a lovely story in the news recently about a young Irishman with Down Syndrome, Michael Gannon, working as an intern at Vatican Radio.

During his internship Michael got to grill senior religious officials and even chat with the Pope!

In the Irish Catholic newspaper, Paul Keenan reports Michael saying
“Stop looking at Down syndrome and see the person for who they are, what they are, what they do in their lives… I also want to get a message out to the parents, to see their children’s abilities, to reach their potential. …. I focus on me, and not on my disability,â€.
