Turkey following failed coup – Susan Philips

On the 15th of July, a coup d’état was attempted in Turkey by a faction within the military there.  The coup was unsuccessful and the past week has seen Turkish President (Recep Tayyip) Erdogan taking sweeping measures which many people see as going well beyond just bringing the plotters of this coup to justice.
